Unlocking Success: Chambr’s Journey After Rubik Garage Accelerator

Do you wonder how participating in the Rubik Garage Accelerator could take your startup to new heights? Read this inspiring success story from one of our alumni – Chambr, co-founded by Gabriela Constantinescu and Alex Poe.

Background

We first met Alex and Gabi in the spring of 2022 when Chambr was selected for the 2022 cohort from over 120 international applicants.

Gabi and Alex met at the Alternative University, where they learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Inspired by that experience, they launched their first startup, Playlearn, in 2017. In 2022, they created Chambr, initially designed to help learning & development professionals create engaging learning games to increase content retention, targeting L&D managers and training organizations.

Progress During the Accelerator

When they joined Rubik Garage, Gabi and Alex had already bootstrapped €23,000 and had a total revenue of €10,000. By the end of the program, Chambr was present in over 23 markets and had 25 paying customers, including UiPath. They also won two prizes at Demo Day: Best Pitch and Popularity Award.

Their desire to gain traction in the US market led them to apply for our next program, the first edition of the Rubik Scale to USA. Once again, Gabriela won the Best Pitch Award at Demo Day.

“Besides the metrics and other tangible benefits, Rubik Garage helped us increase our confidence and motivation. Although less measurable, these were by far the most important ingredients for us to accelerate the journey of Chambr.

I felt like the Rubik Hub team was part of our team. They all worked hard to make the experience as relevant as possible for each startup. #WeAreInThisTogether is not just a hashtag, it’s something we constantly felt,” said Gabriela.

Their journey continued in our follow-on program, “Ready to Raise,” tailored to top startups in our accelerator. This program connects founders with investors and includes in-depth workshops led by industry experts.

Gabi and Alex have remained close to our community, returning as mentors for other programs.

Current Status

Now, two years after graduating from Rubik Garage, Chambr has made significant strides:

  • Pivoted from Learning & Development to Sales Enablement: Completed the pivot during Techstars.
  • Graduated from Techstars Oakland in January 2024: They built a completely new product from scratch after learning from Bob Moesta, the creator of the ‘Jobs To Be Done’ framework.
  • Launched an early MVP at Techstars Demo Day: They have since iterated on the product and now have their first paying customers. Now, Chambr helps sales teams close more deals through AI role play.
  • Raised $130,000 from angel investors working at Google, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
  • Relocated to San Francisco to build their company.
